The Masked - An Interstitial 2e Playbook

You are…different. You’re not like anybody else, that’s for certain. You’re stronger. More dangerous. You’re just able to transform into something…different. Something beyond what anyone else is capable of. But you’re not a monster either. At least, you don’t think you are. You have wants and needs of your own. You have your reasons to fight. And destiny is going to make you fight, come hell or high water.

The Masked is a custom playbook made for Interstitial: Our Worlds Connected by Riley Hopkins, and is a Kamen Rider-flavored rework of and inspired by R.E.M. Speedwagon’s The Henshin 1e playbook and Briar Sovereign's The Armour Astir 2e playbook.

Playing the Masked is all about being a sick superhero with elaborate transformation sequences, trinkets that grant different forms, and kicking enemies so hard that they explode. However, it's also about living a double life, of balancing your civilian and hero identities, and the conflict of being seen as a potential monster if and when you're found out.

You may fight for what you want, but is anyone going to trust you for keeping your secrets hidden?
